Awards and Achievements
- The youngest person in Indian history to clear the M. Ch. GI Surgery Entrance examination and obtain the degree of M.Ch.
- Only person in Indian history, up to that time, to clear the M. Ch. GI surgery examination of all four universities conducting the super speciality course of M. Ch. GI & HPB Surgery.
- Presented the world's largest series on the co-occurrence of Gall Bladder cancer with tuberculosis.
- Presented the world's largest series of Gall Bladder cancer resection.
- Proposed a new classification of Incidental Gall Bladder cancer in IHPBA, Argentina, in 2010.
- As a prominent team member, Dr. Singh played a significant role in Living Related Liver Transplant in two of the world's biggest LRLT programs.
- Successfully established the Department of Liver Transplant & Gastro Sciences, along with the Kidney Transplant program, as the Director and HOD.
- Founded the first center in North-West Delhi to perform Cadaveric and Living Related Liver transplant and Renal transplant.
- Coined a new disease called Drain Appendicitis or Singh’s Appendicitis, published in Clin Surg. 2018; 3: 2204.
- Has an impressive publication record, with over 29 publications in indexed papers and more than 150 publications in leading newspapers, magazines, and health magazines in India.
- Received the Best Paper Award for "To Evaluate the Immunomodulatory Effects of Parenteral Fish Oil Supplementation In Malnourished Surgical Patients" at INTERNATIONAL CRITICAL CARE CONGRESS-2005.
- Won the Best Oral Paper Award for "Right lobe Graft Arterial Inflow – Right or Left?" at IASG 2011.
- Received the Nav Drishti Times (NDT) Hall of Fames Award of 2017 for his contributions to healthcare.
- Awarded Assistant Professorship in Surgical Gastroenterology at GIPMER, New Delhi, in 2009.
- He served as the Chairperson of the GI Surgery Program, Converge, “Controversies to Consensus in GI Surgery,” 2014-2016, a Harvard University Accredited Program, USA.
- Initiated satellite OPD clinics for liver and kidney disorders in Sylhet, Bangladesh, in 2015 and Yangoon, Myanmar, in 2016, aiding patients in both neighboring countries.
- Founded the NGO named CORD (Campaign on Organ Donation) at Press Club of India on 18th July 2015, working to promote organ donation awareness through camps and media events.

- Published a notable case report in the BMJ case report journal about the first case in the world of mucormycosis-associated colonic perforation in a COVID-19 patient with a favorable outcome.
